Richard Aguggia embarked on his career in the architectural field, initially serving as a draftsman and an assistant project manager in an architect’s office. During these formative years, he contributed to projects for prominent law firms and corporate offices, igniting his passion for exemplary design and robust construction.
In 1993, he transitioned to a career in property management, joining Helmsley Spear at the iconic Empire State Building. Subsequently, he moved to another landmark property, Rockefeller Center, where he played a key role in overseeing significant tenant renovations and capital projects on behalf of Tishman Speyer Properties. Following Tishman Speyer’s acquisition of both the Chrysler Building and 666 Third Avenue, Richard Aguggia was an integral part of the inaugural team that successfully transformed these properties into The Chrysler Center.
In 1999, Richard established his first company RFA Consulting Group, and since then, under several RFA companies, he has offered its project management services for a wide range of projects, encompassing both interior renovations and ground-up construction. Under his leadership, RFA has earned a stellar reputation for its collaborative approach with property owners and architects, ensuring the successful and timely completion of projects while adhering to budget constraints.
Over the years, RFA has left its mark on numerous noteworthy projects, including 1749 First Avenue, 48 Laight Street, and the NYU Dormitory on Bowery Street.
Today, RFA Hudson Consulting Group continues to be at the forefront of major projects in New York City, providing comprehensive preconstruction and construction management services for various buildings in the region.
